Sharad Singh Solanki

Sharad is a masters in Industrial Design and bachelors in Engineering having experience as Manager, Designer & Leader of multi-cultural software product development, UX, product design and manufacturing teams.

As a Project Manager and Designer, his core strength is to understand and integrate different technologies, design issues and conceptualize solutions that are workable. He has handled multiple projects and also instrumental in grooming & growth of talent pool on front-end technologies for Imaginea (Product Development Services). Currently he manages the development of SaaS based WaveMaker RAD Studio (acquired from VMWare).

He has collaborated with ISB for delivering the Design Thinking workshops on Technology Entrepreneurship Program (TEP) and conducted user interface design workshops with the National Institute of Design (NID). He has also taught design courses at NID as visiting faculty.

He has spearheaded visual and usable design for the development of internationally acclaimed software products and also led the initiatives in developing usability standards for applications across the organization. The products have acclaimed several awards and recognition and also have gained “easy to use” and “visually great” feedback from users.

He is a strong advocate of user-centered design and have created and established the concept of ergonomics in Indian furniture industry. Most of it is now a part of ISO. People with the special needs, living and occupational hazards use some of his designed products.
